Spazio Jana

Project for a fashion showroom

Location: Turin, Via Maria Vittoria, 45
Project: November – December 2002
Works: January – March 2003

A work in close collaboration with the client who wanted to realize a precise vision to exhibit high-level clothing and accessories, addressed to selected customers.

Operationally, the intent to recreate a magical and suspended feeling is accomplished through the reduction of the components and the subsequent enhancement: few elements strictly functional to be used, knowingly “attacked” or distorted or decontextualized, no colours to form a black and white scene, like the exhibited clothes.

The goal of generating a suspended atmosphere, spreading the surfaces with uniform materials and colours, combining hard materials such as black rubber, resin, iron, and imagining configurations of repetitive and ordered objects that convey an “obsessive” and distantly disturbing perception.
